The Synod of the Northeast’s Mission Working Group prayerfully and thoughtfully evaluated fifteen grant applications, ultimately recommending more than $60,000 in strategic investments to support Campus Ministry and Youth and Young Adult Leadership Development initiatives across the Synod region. These grants reflect a shared commitment to nurturing emerging leaders and strengthening Christ-centered ministry in diverse communities.
The application process began last October, with submissions accepted through mid-December. Throughout the application period, the Synod hosted informational webinars for both grant programs, offering live interpretation in English, Spanish, and Korean to ensure broad participation and accessibility. This year marked an important milestone—the first time both grant applications were fully available in all three languages—demonstrating the Synod’s ongoing commitment to equity, inclusion, and engagement with the rich cultural diversity of its congregations.
CAMPUS MINISTRIES
Campus Ministries Grants support vibrant, faith-centered ministry among college and university students. These grants help campus ministries cultivate spaces for spiritual growth, authentic community, leadership formation, and faithful witness within academic environments. Through these partnerships, the Synod walks alongside ministries as they accompany students in exploring faith, purpose, and service during some of life’s most formative years.
