The Synod of the Northeast is entering a significant season of faithful action following the adoption of the 2025 Reimagining the Church and the World Vision Report. This moment marks a transition from discernment to implementation, bringing the Synod’s shared vision to life in tangible, transformative ways.
The work of the Synod Mission and Ministries Commission continues with our in-person meeting on April 24th and 25th. The Mission, Connectional, and Administrative Working Groups will meet and make recommendations to the commission.
The Visioning Process is underway, with small groups working diligently to prepare their presentations for the Town Hall meeting scheduled for April 22. Each group is clarifying its future goals and developing clear quarterly objectives to present the proposed vision at the Synod meeting on November 15, 2025, at First United Presbyterian Church in Amsterdam, NY.
