The Synod of the Northeast is thrilled to announce that the 2026 Emerging Gospel Community Grant application season opens June 1st.  We invite you to imagine boldly, dream faithfully, and step courageously into what God may be calling you to create.

This grant is designed to support new and renewing expressions of Christian community—ministries that don’t just happen within the walls of the church, but live and breathe in the neighborhoods, relationships, and spaces where people are seeking hope, belonging, and purpose. Whether it’s gathering around tables, serving alongside neighbors, creating spaces for healing and justice, or building bridges across cultures and experiences, the 2026 Emerging Gospel Community Grant is available to help bring those Spirit-led ideas to life.

At the heart of this opportunity is a deep commitment to the Synod’s core values—diversity, inclusion, justice, and community. We believe the Church is at its most vibrant when it lifts up voices that have too often been overlooked and creates spaces where all people can encounter the love of Christ in meaningful and transformative ways.

It’s time to dream beyond what feels comfortable and imagine what could be if your community fully embraced a fresh expression of the Gospel.
