Supporting New Communities of Faith

he Synod of the Northeast is committed to supporting new expressions of community formed around a commitment to Christian faith and the teachings of Jesus. We believe innovative approaches to living out God’s call to justice and love help to promote diversity and lift up previously underserved communities—two of the Synod’s core values! We encourage you to dream big and outside of the box as your community envisions fresh approaches to being community as Christians.

We are committed to making the Emerging Gospel Community Grant more accessible to the diverse communities we serve. We are pleased to announce that the grant application has now been translated into Spanish and Korean to assist applicants in better understanding the grant’s purpose, priorities, and process.

These translations are designed to support your preparation process—helping you and your team embrace the vision and values behind the grant more clearly and confidently. We hope this resource will empower more congregations, ministries, and leaders to engage with the opportunity to grow bold, Spirit-led communities of faith.
Please note: While these translations are available to guide your preparation, all final applications must still be submitted in English through our grant software platform, Foundant, which only operates in English. We encourage you to identify someone within your grant team or church community who can help translate your final responses into English before submission.

We are hopeful that this step toward greater accessibility will spark even broader participation in this Spirit-filled initiative. You can find the translated application documents on these links below:
