Strengthening Partnerships. Shaping the Future.
The Synod of the Northeast Presbytery Collaboration Support Grant is designed to help presbyteries discern bold new opportunities for mission and ministry. As the Church responds to changing realities, this grant encourages courageous leadership, creative thinking, and meaningful collaboration that builds a sustainable future.
Rather than funding a specific project, this grant invests in your discernment process—helping presbyteries explore new partnerships, share resources, and faithfully imagine where God is leading next. Two presbyteries may also apply together as joint applicants to strengthen collaborative ministry.
Eligible presbyteries that contribute to Per Capita and have approval from their assembled body to engage in this discernment process may apply. Presbytery leaders who are not currently eligible are encouraged to contact the Synod. We are committed to offering guidance and support as you work toward participation in this important initiative.
Each awarded presbytery will be partnered with a Synod liaison who will provide encouragement, consultation, and ongoing support throughout the grant period.
Eligible presbyteries may receive up to $45,000 over two years to support this transformative work.
God is continually calling the Church into new possibilities. Together, let’s discern that call, strengthen our partnerships, and faithfully shape the future of ministry across the Synod of the Northeast.
Connecting Presbyteries. Inspiring Ministry. Transforming Communities.
The Synod of the Northeast Presbytery Collaboration Event Grant is an exciting opportunity to strengthen relationships, encourage shared learning, and inspire collaborative ministry across our presbyteries. Rooted in the Synod’s vision for a more connected, adaptive, and mission-focused Church, this grant supports gatherings that bring leaders together to build partnerships and explore new possibilities for ministry.
Whether through leadership retreats, joint mission projects, educational events, worship experiences, or virtual gatherings, participating presbyteries are invited to move beyond traditional boundaries to learn from one another, address common challenges, and discern where God is leading together.
More than simply funding an event, this grant invests in relationships that strengthen the Church. By sharing resources, celebrating diverse gifts, and cultivating meaningful partnerships, presbyteries can expand their impact and respond more faithfully to the opportunities and needs of their communities.
The Synod of the Northeast is investing in collaborative ministry by offering grants of up to $3,500 to support eligible presbytery events.
Together, we can build stronger connections, encourage innovative ministry, and more fully live into our shared calling as the body of Christ.
