Synod of the Northeast

The Synod of the Northeast is committed to strengthening congregations by investing in the people who lead them. Two valuable grant opportunities are currently available. If you or someone in your congregation could benefit from leadership development or ministry training, now is the perfect time to apply.

Mary Wallingford Trust Grant

Small churches often have big dreams but limited resources. The Mary Wallingford Trust Grant provides up to $500 to help pastors and congregational leaders from churches with 150 members or fewer participate in conferences, workshops, continuing education, retreats, leadership training, or bring in guest speakers. It’s an opportunity to grow skills, discover fresh ideas, and strengthen ministry for the future.

Presby & Langdon Scholarship Fund

Strong youth ministries begin with well-equipped leaders. The Presby & Langdon Scholarship Fund offers up to $500 to support youth ministry volunteers, educators, and leaders who want to attend conferences, receive specialized training, or pursue continuing education. By investing in those who nurture the faith of young people, we invest in the future of the Church itself.

Don’t let funding stand in the way of an opportunity to grow. These grants are designed to remove financial barriers so that leaders can be equipped, inspired, and empowered for faithful ministry.

We encourage you to share these opportunities with pastors, sessions, and ministry leaders throughout your congregation and presbytery.
