In 2016 the Synod was pleased to contribute a total of $683,349 to ministries and gospel communities within our geographic boundaries.
We contributed $319,169 to Innovation Fund recipients and $100,000 to our Mission Partners. $80,600 was given to campus ministries.

The Arts, Spirituality, & Justice Campus Ministry is a ministry of the Church of the Covenant to artists and art students, particularly those connected to one of the nearby art schools. The ministry explores ways that art and spirituality can be integrated and woven together.

This Innovation Grant underwrote Albany Presbytery's adaptive leadership experiment for nine months with Pnuematrix Consulting. Six congregations and six apprentices to these congregations participated and their book study was so well-received it was expanded to the entire presbytery.

The Rural and Migrant Ministry acts to overcome the prejudices and poverty that degrade and debilitate people within rural New York. The Innovation Grant supported their efforts to reach out and empower a greater number of rural women of color who are socially and geographically isolated.

This program is specially designed to partner with young adults with a desire to spend a year engaged in mission service, spiritual formation, vocational discernment, and food justice advocacy.
