Wurffel-Sils Education Grant Awards

On July 7, 2022, the Wurffel-Sills Application Review Working Group met to finalize their review of all the 2022-2023 Wurffel-Sills scholarship and interest-free student loan applications received. We are happy to announce that we were able to provide scholarships and interest-free loan offers to members from 13 of our 19 presbyteries of the Synod of the Northeast.

  • Cayuga-Syracuse - $ 6,000

  • Coastlands of New Jersey - $6,000

  • Genesee Valley - $10,500

  • Highlands of New Jersey - $ 13,000

  • Hudson River - $ 25,000

  • Long Island - $ 6,500

  • New York City - $ 25,500

  • Northeast New Jersey - $ 43,500

  • Northern New York - $ 5,500

  • Southern New England - $ 1,000

  • Susquehanna Valley - $ 5,500

  • Western New York - $ 40,000

The Wurffel-Sills Scholarship and Interest-Free Student Loan programs are open to full-time undergraduate and full and part-time seminary students (MDiv, MRE), who are members of any church within the Synod of the Northeast.
