All Presbytery PJC members as well as members of COM and any one else from Presbyteries who believe you would benefit from attending a training on the new Book of Order Church Discipline (the old Rules of Discipline section) are welcome to attend either one of the in-person trainings or the virtual training.  Elder Flor Velez-Diaz, Manager of Judicial Process and Social Witness as well as Assistant Stated Clerk for the Office of the General Assembly will provide the training.  If you have not had the opportunity to attend one of her trainings, she is an excellent trainer.  You will get much out of the day.

  •  October 16th – Ramada Inn in Albany, 3 Watervliet Ave Ext, Albany, NY 12206

  • October 17th –Cayuga-Syracuse, Northern New York, Susquehanna Valley, and Utica Presbyteries are joining together for a training -- location to be announced.

  • October 19th -- First Presbyterian Church of Hightstown, 320 North Main Street, Hightstown, NJ 08525.

All in-person trainings will take place between 9:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. The Synod will provide lunch at each location.

 Virtual training:

Flor is planning three two-hour virtual training sessions via Zoom on November 1st, November 6th and November 14th.  Each session builds on the previous one so that you will have taken six hours of training by the time you finish.

The training will take place at the end of the day or beginning early evening. Times to be announced.

 Registration:

Registration for the in-person trainings will open Thursday, July 27th with registration for the virtual training to follow shortly.
