Wurffel-Sills Scholarship and Interest-Free Loan Awards

On June 22, 2021, the Wurffel-Sills Application Review Working Group met to finalize their review of all the 2021-2022 Wurffel-Sills scholarship and interest-free student loan applications received. We are happy to announce that the Synod was able to provide scholarships and interest-free loan offers totaling more than $230K to members from 15 of the 19 presbyteries of the Synod of the Northeast.  

Each year the application process begins in January with a deadline of April 1st. Applicants must be a member of any Presbyterian Church within the Synod of the Northeast. The application is open to full-time undergraduate students as well as those enrolled in seminary studies leading to a Master of Divinity (MDiv) or Master of Religious Education (MRE) degree.

The Wurffel-Sills Scholarship & Interest-Free Student Loan Program is a combination of two memorial funds established to assist students with demonstrated financial needs with their higher educational goals.
